There will also be a special guest in Beograd- the director of British Council, Mr Tony O’Brian.
Sessions:
Plenary: ‘Techniques with Technology’ (Rob Dean)
It’s only 25 years since the time when ownership of a VCR was a status symbol, the Audio CD was a radical new innovation, and the internet was a mere twinkle in the eye of its creator. Things have moved quickly since then, both outside the classroom as well as within. This session will take a look at some of the latest technological innovations in language learning, including interactive whiteboards, interactive DVDs and multimedia CD ROMs. Is it all just a gimmick, or does it really make a valid contribution to the language classroom? Come along and find out.
Workshop A: ‘Grammar and Vocabulary Practice is Boring – or is it?’ (Rob Dean)
A highly practical and fun filled session showing how we can practice language using fun activities that:
– require minimal preparation
– are interactive and communicative
– are adaptable for age, level and language point
– can be used alongside any coursebook
Workshop B: ‘Back to Basics: Learn to Communicate’ (Dragana Filipović)
Students learn English in order to be able to communicate with it. Do we give them enough opportunities to try out real language within the classroom? In this workshop we’ll look at some activities that will help them activate the language they have learnt.
Seminar participants will receive:
-Pearson Welcome Pack
-Certificate of Attendance
